Matt DiGirolamo is a passionate user advocate, researcher, and designer. He has eight years of experience in the field working in a mix of industries and company types, striving to understand his target customer while balancing business objectives and user goals. Matt uses data and research to help create usable, desirable, and useful experiences. He has experience in many qualitative and quantitative methods to answer business questions while focusing on best practices, industry trends, and cognitive behavior. Matt has a passionate, impact-driven, and empathetic approach to his relationships and works to make technology work for people while providing solid business results.
After working as a researcher for the majority of his career, Matt is currently a User Experience Designer at SmartBear whnere he focuses on their enterprise load testing solution. Before that, he spent over two-and-a-half years at HubSpot, four years at Vistaprint, and a few months at Chewy where he helped small research teams expand methodologies, increase output, and drive an efficient, agile research workflow. He received his B.S. in Engineering Psychology and Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University in 2011 and his M.S. in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management, User Experience Design from Kent State University in August 2016. In 2018, Matt joined Lesley University as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching User Experience I.
Matt is heavily involved in his community; he has been on the Board of Directors for UXPA Boston for over 3 years, and he will serve another 3-year term from 2020-2022. For CY2020, he will serve his second term as UXPA Boston President.
